The invisible threads of our heritage

Constellation work was pioneered by the experienced analyst Bert Hellinger. Through his many years of work, he discovered certain fundamental patterns in systems—especially within families—that are timelessly valid. With the help of this deeply effective work, conflicts and dynamics can be understood at a deep level and resolved in a genuine way.

Issues such as persistent self-esteem problems, recurring attachment issues, or the paralyzing feeling of being lost can be brought to light and addressed in a lasting way through this approach.

It’s never too late for a happy childhood.

When the fate of our ancestors resounds in the present

In systems—especially family systems—there are often invisible forces and patterns at work of which we are not rationally aware. In my practice in Hamburg, three very typical phenomena frequently arise that weigh heavily on clients:

Unconscious assimilation (entanglement)

Out of a deep, childlike, and often blind love, we tend to unconsciously take on the feelings, burdens,
fears, or even the difficult fate of our parents, grandparents, or other ancestors and carry them along with them. We then live a life that doesn’t feel like our own at all.

Unconscious identification

If there are people within the system who have been forgotten, excluded, silenced, or whose contributions have been disregarded, the system tends to correct this imbalance. A family member born later (often across generations) then unconsciously identifies with that person and exhibits similar behavioral patterns or emotional blocks to serve as a reminder of the excluded individual.

The unconscious mission

We often carry unspoken mandates within us—such as easing our mother’s pain, making our father proud, or fulfilling a life our ancestors never lived. These mandates block our own life force and prevent us from fully embracing our own autonomy.

Systematic effectiveness – what does science say?

Is constellation work merely an intuitive phenomenon, or is there a sound basis for it? Aside from being an astonishing and profoundly effective practice, there is now clear evidence from various fields of research that explains why this method is so effective:

Empirical research (The Heidelberg Study)
The effectiveness of family constellations is no myth. A large-scale clinical study conducted by the University of Heidelberg (under Prof. Dr. Jochen Schweitzer) scientifically demonstrated that constellations lead to a measurable reduction in psychological stress and sustainably strengthen the experience of relationships and self-perception—even months after the session.

Modern epigenetics
Research is increasingly showing that we inherit more than just physical traits from our ancestors. Traumatic experiences and stressors from earlier generations can affect our stress regulation through biochemical markers (transgenerational transmission). Constellations help to make these unconscious, inherited dynamics visible in the here and now and to release the emotional burden they carry.

Developmental psychology & resonance research
As human beings, we are biologically programmed from birth to interact with others. Our nervous system possesses a sensitive antenna for interpersonal fields. In constellations, we use this natural ability for what is known as “representational perception”: Our bodies reflect unconscious relationship structures and tensions with astonishing precision, even before our minds can put them into words.

How a constellation brings healing

The good news is: These unconscious bonds and burdens don’t have to dictate your life. Systemic work makes these dynamics visible in the room. By placing representatives or symbols for family members, the inner image you carry within yourself becomes tangibly visible on the outside.

  • Restoring order: Each member of the system is returned to its proper, rightful place.
  • Honoring and respecting: Difficult fates, hard truths, and forgotten people are viewed with love, honored, and respected.
  • Conscious return: Burdens, feelings of guilt, or unconscious obligations that do not belong to you are returned, within a healing framework, to those to whom they belong—with deep respect and without blame.
  • Accepting things as they are: Only when we accept reality as it was and as it is does our inner resistance dissolve. The blocked energy can flow again, bringing deep relief to your soul.

Two ways to find your solution

Every person and every issue has its own rhythm. That’s why I offer systemic work in two different, proven settings—tailored to your personal well-being and pace:

Path 1: the one-on-one Session (intimate & flexible)

Here, the two of us work together in a calm and peaceful setting. Using floor anchors or figures on the system board, we bring the dynamics of your family or your inner team to life. This setting is ideal if you’d like to begin exploring your topic in a completely safe and private environment. Appointments for this can be arranged flexibly at any time.

Path 2: the constellation day (intensive group session)

The classic constellation with human representatives in the group has a very special, profound dynamic. To ensure there are always enough representatives in the room, the following rule applies: If you are presenting your own issue, bring a trusted companion (e.g., partner, friend) with you.

Here’s how it works: These sessions will take place as soon as a fixed group has been formed. Simply sign up for the waiting list with no obligation—I’ll let you know as soon as the next date is set.
