Procedure & terms and conditions

Procedure & terms and conditions:

my practice in Hamburg.

━━━━━

Accessing therapeutic support should be straightforward. Here you’ll find all the information you need about our process, the costs, and the benefits of private billing—all presented transparently and reliably.

Here’s how we get started together

It takes courage to take the first step. That’s why I make getting started as clear and easy as possible for you:

Step 1: A no-obligation introductory meeting (approx. 20 min.)

We’ll start with an introductory consultation over the phone or online. You’ll briefly describe your situation to me, and we’ll both get a sense of whether we have good “chemistry.” This consultation is completely free of charge for you.

Step 2: A thorough initial session

If we decide to work together, I will invite you to my practice in Hamburg. During an in-depth initial session, we will review your life story and your current obstacles, and establish a framework for your individual goals.

Step 3: Your customized process

I don’t have a set number of hours. We’ll work together for as long as is necessary for your stabilization, healing, and finding balance. You determine the pace of the sessions based entirely on how you feel.

Investing in your mental health

As a naturopath specializing in psychotherapy, I run a private practice. This means that my services are intended for patients who pay out of pocket.
The fees are as follows:

Introductory phone consultation
free
(about 20 min.)
Individual therapy session
140,- € / 60 min.
(Conversation / Group Work)
Long-term support
120,- € / 60 min.
(Package of 10 or more sessions)
Systemic constellations in an individual Setting
140,- € / 60 min.
Systemic constellation day
240,- € / day
(Group – as the petitioner)
Participation as a substitute or accompanying person only
50,- € / day

Please allow approximately 1.5 to 2 hours for a one-on-one session; billing is based on the actual duration.
These rates apply to in-person, virtual, and telephone appointments. Phone calls outside of scheduled sessions are billed per quarter-hour or portion thereof (pro-rated based on the hourly rate). Pursuant to Section 4(14) of the German Value-Added Tax Act (UStG), healthcare services are exempt from value-added tax.
The fees listed above therefore represent the final price. Please note: Unlike coaching, therapeutic billing requires a medical or psychological diagnosis in accordance with the ICD-10 manual (e.g., adjustment disorder, mild depressive episode, etc.) as required by law.

Will my health insurance cover the costs?

Statutory health insurance plans generally do not cover the costs of treatment by alternative practitioners specializing in psychotherapy. However, if you have private health insurance or a corresponding supplemental insurance plan covering alternative practitioners, the costs are often covered in full or in part.

Please check with your provider directly beforehand to determine whether and to what extent naturopathic services, as defined by the Fee Schedule for Naturopaths, are covered under your plan.

Billing and Verification Process:

Once you have paid the invoice to me, you can submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement.

A medically justified diagnosis is required for reimbursement (please refer to the notes on diagnostic criteria above).

Additional Work: If your insurance company requires you to fill out special questionnaires, provide detailed reports, or otherwise respond in writing to inquiries as part of the reimbursement review process, I will be happy to prepare these for you. For this additional administrative work, I charge a fee of 70 €.

How private billing may pay off for you

Compared to therapies covered by health insurance, paying out-of-pocket offers you significant
and often decisive advantages:

No months-long wait times

While you often have to wait half a year or longer for a therapy slot at insurance-covered clinics, I can provide you with prompt and flexible support—exactly when your distress is at its worst.

Absolute discretion (no records with the insurance provider)

Since no information is reported to your public health insurance provider, your psychotherapy will not appear in any central medical record. This is particularly important if you are planning to become a civil servant or switch to private health, disability, or life insurance.

Freedom to choose a method without feeling pressured to justify the choice

We are not bound by the rigid requirements of standard therapeutic procedures. I can combine exactly the highly effective methods (such as ego-state work or systemic constellations) that your system truly needs right now.

“A valuable boost for your process”

Establishing a consistent process is helpful for the success of your therapy. Even if there are days when you feel, “I don’t want to today” or “I don’t really have anything to talk about today”—it is precisely these moments that are often an integral part of your inner journey of growth. That’s exactly when you should keep your appointments. Together, we’ll address exactly what’s coming up in the here and now.

Cancellation fee & cancellations

The time reserved for you is reserved exclusively for you. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please cancel it at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel at shorter notice or fail to show up, I will unfortunately have to charge the full fee for the lost time, as the hour cannot be reassigned on such short notice. Thank you for your understanding regarding this policy.

Important note regarding my therapeutic services & mandatory crisis intervention

I am not a licensed psychotherapist with a long degree in psychology or specialized medical training.
Nor am I a psychiatrist.

As a naturopathic practitioner specializing in psychotherapy, I am authorized to support people with mild to moderate psychological issues that have arisen primarily due to their own challenging life history or circumstances. You can come to me, for example, if you’re experiencing mild to moderate depression, anxiety, exhaustion, crises resulting from difficult life situations, or internal and external conflicts. During an initial consultation, we’ll work together to determine whether your concerns align with my areas of expertise. If necessary, it may be advisable to also seek support from your primary care physician.

If you are suffering from a serious mental illness (such as severe depression, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, organic mental disorders, or post-traumatic stress disorder following a severe trauma), please contact the nearest hospital or psychiatric clinic directly.
They will take good care of you there.

In the event of an acute crisis, please contact the general medical emergency service immediately (Tel.: 040 – 116117), the psychiatric emergency departments at Hamburg’s hospitals, or—in the event of immediate danger—the police emergency number 110.

The first step toward new inner freedom is just a click away.
Let’s schedule a free initial consultation to discuss how I can support you on your journey.
